Why Locals Love Orsonero Coffee
Orsonero Coffee is a quintessential Milanese gem nestled in the vibrant neighborhood at Via Giuseppe Broggi, 15. As a specialty coffee shop, roastery, and espresso bar, it offers a refined yet inviting experience that appeals to both casual coffee lovers and discerning aficionados alike. From the moment you step inside this cozy, intimate space, you are enveloped in the rich, aromatic world of expertly roasted beans and skillfully crafted coffee.
Despite its modest size, Orsonero Coffee manages to create an atmosphere buzzing with warmth and authenticity. Loyal patrons regularly mention the friendly, attentive staff who welcome guests as if they were old friends, enhancing the experience beyond just the cup in hand. The occasional weekday or weekend line is a testament to the quality and care poured into every brew, but rest assured—it moves quickly, rewarding your patience with exceptional coffee moments.
The spotlight here undeniably shines on their cappuccino, which customers like Katalin Dao praise as “smooth, rich, and full of flavor,” describing it as one of the best cappuccinos they’ve ever tasted. The balance between velvety milk foam and robust espresso showcases both precision and passion, delivering a silky texture and depth that lingers delightfully on the palate. Equally impressive is their pour-over coffee, which Christopher Taktak excitedly rates a perfect 10/10 for its outstanding clarity and nuanced flavors, paired with a warm, inviting ambiance highlighted by tasteful music.
Pastry offerings provide a delicious complement to the beverages, with selections such as fresh pain au chocolat winning Aiden Zi’s admiration for being “fresh, well-made, and still warm,” though it’s clear the team is continually refining their baking to delight every visitor. While some find the classic cornetto’s crema slightly light, the quality remains consistent and the prices are just right for the upscale craftsmanship at play.
What truly sets Orsonero Coffee apart is its combination of stellar coffee mastery, intimate atmosphere, and genuine hospitality within the bustling heart of Milan. Whether you’re savoring a double espresso to kickstart your morning or settling in with a filter coffee and a pastry, every moment feels thoughtfully curated to lift your spirits and awaken your senses. For those craving an authentic Milan coffee experience freed from the tourist trappings, Orsonero Coffee is a soulful destination that promises to leave you both satisfied and inspired.

Cozy little coffee shop in the heart of Milan serving delicious specialty coffee and freshly baked pastries. The space is small and there’s usually a bit of a line but it moves quickly and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Their Cappuccino is absolutely perfect. Smooth, rich and full of flavor. One of the best I’ve ever had. Easily a 10/10. We also tried three different pastries and my personal favorite is the Cinnamon Roll. Soft, fluffy and to my surprise it had a honey glaze that made it extra special. The Pain Suisse is another standout. Golden and crispy on the outside, filled with creamy custard and rich dark chocolate. We had high expectations for the Pistachio Croissant based on all the hype and while it was good, it didn’t quite live up to the others. It could’ve been more buttery and definitely needed more pistachio filling. Still, this place is a must visit if you’re a coffee lover in Milan. Locals and tourists clearly agree.

Amazing coffee! Place is crowded on weekends and there’s not that much space so don’t expect to find a table that easily if you’re 3-4 people. Corbetta was good but not enough crema for me. The buns look fantastic and I’ll make sure to try next time. Price is more than ok for the quality!

I had an absolutely amazing morning: I started with a double espresso, then moved to a filter coffee and ended with a cappuccino . I just loved the vibe and the coffees were exceptional.

Cozy café with good coffee and friendly staff. The croissant was average, but I really liked the pain au chocolat it was fresh, well-made, and still warm. Overall, the café had a relaxed vibe and was a nice place to sit for a while.

Arrived ten minutes before opening and there were five people waiting. We went for a walk amd came back at 9am and there were now 25 people queuing up. You cannot occupy a table unless they’ve taken your order so first come first served. It looks like a mess but they are actually well organized and efficient. We were served quickly and it was worth the wait. The coffee is top notch. We had their batch brew, a pour over and a doppio espresso and they were excellent. The pastries are ridiculously good. Nice place, nice staff, nice atmosphere.

I had a meeting today at Orsonero coffee shop. The person I was meeting was running late… thankfully I was able to try the chocolate banana cake and the vegan carrot cake. Never has waiting for someone been more pleasant. Mattia is my hero. His recommendations were spot on. Great place. Great vibe. The coffee is superb just as you would expect. Don’t tell anyone about it though … it’s too good to be overrun with customers

Orsonero Coffee — Milan A hidden gem in Milan! Orsonero is a cute, small, and slightly bougie space with a warm, stylish vibe that immediately makes you feel at home. It’s the kind of place you stumble into once and then want to come back to every morning. The coffee was excellent — smooth, well-balanced, and beautifully made. I had a café latte that was rich without being heavy, and perfectly paired with their breakfast pastries. The croissant was flaky and fresh, the pistachio croissant was indulgent and nutty (a must-try!), and the pain au chocolat was buttery, chocolatey, and just the right amount of sweet. Everything felt thoughtfully done — from the quality of the ingredients to the presentation and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. If you’re in Milan and love good coffee, great pastries, and charming spaces, Orsonero is absolutely worth a stop. Highly recommend!
